Help for a child
We are supporting little Khataaf. The three-year-old boy is from Pankisi in northern Georgia and has suffered from serious health problems since birth. He was eventually diagnosed with a congenital immune deficiency.
Over the past three years, he has had to undergo several operations, and now he urgently needs a bone marrow transplant; fortunately, his sister is a potential donor. However, the bone marrow transplant, which will be carried out in a Turkish hospital, costs around 90,000 US dollars. His parents have launched a fundraising campaign.
We, IWA Georgia, donated 7.000 GEL to pay for other treatments to stabilise his liver and prepare him for the bone marrow transplant.
