The Day Care Center ”Lampari” in Samtredia (not far from Kutaisi) supports children and teenagers with disabilities. Thanks to IWA´s donation to the organisation EDEC, the centre is now equipped with a proper sensory room. Sensory approaches are considered as one of the most effective means of rehabilitation for people with disabilities and help the beneficiaries to develop social, communication, functional and life skills. The space at the centre in Samtredia has been renovated and equipped with some necessary items to enable the 16 beneficiaries to be involved in educational and cognitive activities. The aim is for them to be well prepared for their integration into society.
