COVID-19 forced us to make dramatic changes in every area of life in the timeframe of only a few weeks. Cities and entire countries were shut down overnight, leaders declared national and international emergencies, people and institutions adapted to unprecedented societal change.
This pandemic is a challenge for everybody but for the poorest – our people in need – it is essential to receive help fast and efficiently. Together with Rotary Club Tbilisi, IWA financed some 300 boxes of food that were distributed to families with three or more children from low socio-economic conditions, who had lost their income due to COVID measures. Tbilisi Municipality assisted with the deliveries.
