The Samaritan Association of Georgia started a psycho-social service for children with cancer and offered additional education for the medical teams in a hospital. IWA Georgia funded this important project – children and parents/families get support from the first moment of hospitalization to reduce the stress and avoid traumatization of the little patients. The doctors and nurses get education and support from a team of psychologists to facilitate the process of working with the patients and avoid professional or emotional burnout.
