Mkurnali is an organization giving shelter to homeless children, teenagers and young single mothers. It is also the only organization in Georgia that provides legal assistance to street children and youth. Their building houses 15 permanent beneficiaries and about 30 in the wintertime.
The roof of the building needed to be replaced at a cost of GEL 18,000. In 2021 IWA voted to support Mkurnali with GEL 10,000 and the rest of the funds were provided by a fund in England. Due to various delays, the project was only finished in 2022, and Margret Schmidt, Elena Bezhanishvili and Nana Dvali visited in December 2022 and were happy to see the project finalized.
