Austria’s Vorarlberg Police Delegation Visits Toliskuri with IWA

An Austrian police delegation visited the Toliskuri Day Care Center for children with disabilities in Georgia in October to assess the impact of their donations. The contributions from Vorarlberg Police officials, their families, and friends funded a house for the centre and an accessible van for transporting the children.

Wheelchair adaptation by the Georgian Portage Association

Thanks to IWA’s support for the project “Movdivart” (Coming to You), the Portage პორტიჯი has personalized 12 wheelchairs for the residents of their boarding house in Dusheti. The adjustments are meant to provide comfort, independence and proper health standards for the designated users.

Homeless Soup Run

The Salvation Army in Georgia is doing a “Homeless Soup Run 2022-2023” and IWA supported with GEL 3000. The project runs during the five coldest months (November through March) and provides support for 35 to 50 beneficiaries five nights a week in the Tbilisi area.  

Mkurnali

Mkurnali is an organization giving shelter to homeless children, teenagers and young single mothers. It is also the only organization in Georgia that provides legal assistance to street children and youth. Their building houses 15 permanent beneficiaries and about 30 in the wintertime.  The roof
